March Madness can mean only one of two things.
Either the NCAA basketball tournament, or the annual dog
shows at Raritan Center Expo Center in Edison, NJ.
This year’s show included specialty events on Thursday,
March 26, followed by two days hosted by the New Brunswick Kennel
Club, March 26-27, and one day by the Bronx Kennel Club, March 28.
It was nice to finally attend an event this year that was not
seriously hampered by inclement weather
- the skies seemed to clear just in time for the show.
We were able to enjoy a sizable entry of
some magnificent examples of the majority of breeds and visit with
many old friends for the first time this year.
The spectator turnout was as warmly welcomed as was the
spring weather.
It was wonderful
to see Pat and Hal Pawley from the Wilmington Kennel Club.
They had with them two beautiful Long Haired Chihuahuas,
including Lil McGill, who, of course, everyone knew as
“Nancy’” (including her owners). Are you hearing “Rocky Racoon” right now?
We had a nice chat and discussed many upcoming events
including the Wilmington Kennel Club and Penn Treaty Kennel Club
three day show April 30 through May 1, at Lums Pond State Park,
Bear, DE to be sponsored by none other than By Nature Pet Foods!
We are looking forward to this event with great anticipation.
We will be featuring our charity biscuit bar for the second
time and we are excited to be giving away a two speed K-9 dryer in a
free entry raffle.
We were also very pleased to see and talk with Ginny and Rich
from L’Oreal, who will be hosting our favorite consumer event for
the 7th consecutive year on August 18, in Cranbury, NJ. It is the overwhelmingly successful Breast Cancer Charity
gala, “Because Your Dog is Worth it Too.”
By Nature Pet Foods can be found in the “By Nature Puppy
Pavillion.”
