There is a very nice lady here at the Oklahoma Animal Welfare Association.
Her name is Angie and she has been taking care of me since I got rescued.
I am not sure what "rescued" means but I do know that it is a
lot nicer here than it was at my old place. Angie says that tomorrow I am going to be spayed. I don't know what that means either but Angie says not too worry because I have to be spayed before I go to my forever home in New Jersey and forever homes are the best! Angie says that I am going to be very special because I am going to be the Dog Food Demo Dog for By Nature Dog Foods. I don't know what a Demo Dog is but I do know what dog food is - and I LIKE IT! At my old place, I didn't get enough dog food and my tummy hurt all the time. Angie said that I only weighed 37 pounds! Angie says that in New Jersey, I will be living with a bunch of Miniature Poodles and that they are show dogs. That is ok! I am going to be a Demo Dog (what ever that is!) and that is better than a show dog any day! Hmmm, what IS a show dog, anyway? |

| Today I found out what "spayed" means - and now I have stitches! Dr. Luper at the Animal Medical and Surgical Hospital in Tulsa, OK also found out that I needed some dental work done. At my old place, I used to chew on the wire fence of my pen - sometimes, because I was hungry, sometimes, because I was bored - and I guess I ruined my teeth. Right now, I don't know which is worse - my mouth or my belly! But it is all ok. This is what I need to do to go to my forever home and I can not wait! |

| There was a lot going on today. Everyone here at the Oklahoma Animal Welfare Association was running around like crazy! They didn't tell me too much but I did overhear some things. Angie was talking to someone on the phone and they were talking about airplanes and me! I think I am going on an airplane on Friday! Maybe I am going to my forever home! I hope I am! I can't wait to be a Dog Food Demo Dog - everyone is making such a big deal about it! Me? I still just like the "Dog Food" part! MMmmmmm! |

Guess what? Guess what? Today Angie told me that I am absolutely going on
an airplane to New Jersey on Friday! She said it will be a whole new life
for me! She said that I will be eating very good food called By Nature
food and that I will never be hungry again! I am a little sad though. I am
going to miss Angie because she rescued me. And I am going to miss Angel
because she and I came to Oklahoma Animal Welfare Association together. I
knew her my whole life. I am also a little sad because some of the dogs
that came here with me didn't get new homes. Maybe if people see what a
good Demo Dog I am going to be, they will come here and get them. I have to go to bed now because Angie says I have to get up early to start my new life! I can't wait! |

I am in New Jersey! Oh my! What a day! Angie got me up real early and then we went to the airport. There was a mean man there. He said I couldn't get on the plane because my crate was too big and that I smelled bad. Angie told him that I had just been spayed and couldn't get a bath yet but he didn't want to hear it! Angie was so mad! She put me back in the car and we went to Wal-Mart. She had to buy me a whole new crate and then you know what she did? She sprayed me with perfume! She said I smell like a French - something! I didn't understand that word! Anyway, we went back to the airport and then the mean man said I could go to my forever home! The plane ride was kinda scary because there was a lot of noise. I had to go to Atlanta first. They were nice there and gave me water. Then I went to Philadelphia. I liked Philadelphia because the lady there had a Pug and she told me all about him - he chewed up her recorder. She was pretty upset about that so I guess I will have to remember to find out what a recorder is and not to chew up any at my forever home! Then I met Gloria. She is very nice! She took me to my forever home and you should see it! She has a couch for me to lay on and toys. Gloria even got a special toy just for me that you put in the freezer and it gets nice and cold and feels good on my gums where they pulled my teeth. The yard is great and I met my new brothers and sisters. Everyone kept saying they were show Poodles but I don't know about that. They just look like little dogs with silly hair cuts - especially this one who is named Simon. He told me he is being "campaigned" which must mean he is being a show dog right now. He has his butt shaved! I had to have my leg shaved because of my hot spot but I can't imagine them shaving my whole butt! I hope I don't have to have anything shaved to be a Demo Dog! I am STILL wondering what a Demo Dog is! I hope Gloria tells me soon! I have to go now - I have a couch that needs my attention! |

I had a great day today! Simon and I played in the house. Simon looks
funny because of that shaved butt hair cut but he sure knows how to have
fun! Gloria showed me that I have two beds all to myself! One is in her office and it is very comfy! The other one is in the front room. I like that bed ok ... but it is right near the couch and the couch is wonderful! I took a long nap there today while Gloria looked at moving pictures in a box. It was nice because she was petting me the entire time. I think I am going to like it here! (By the way, there is one very bossy Poodle here. Her name is Roo. She has already let me know that the bed upstairs is hers. She is little but she is very feisty. I think I will leave her alone!) |

Today Gloria said that I was doing so well that I could go with her to the
store! What a store it was! It was all about pets! They had dog food and
toys and treats and all kinds of stuff that I really like! There were some
very nice people there and they gave me treats and biscuits and petted me!
Gloria told them all about my old home and they all got sad. I wanted to
tell them that is was ok because now I am in my forever home and it is a
great place to be a dog! I don't think they understood me though. I am
going to have to work on that! Gloria said that I did very well at the store but that I have to learn that I can't play with other dogs while I am working and I can't pull her while I have my lead on. Oh boy! Oh BOY! If this is what being a Demo Dog is and people get to pet me all the time and give me treats and biscuits, I am all for it! And, ok, I will try to stop pulling when I am on the lead, too! |

Today I did two very big things! I learned what "sit" and
"down" means and I went to visit my and Gloria's boss. The
"sit" and "down" thing was very easy because I already
know how to do both. Now I just have to do them when Gloria says the words
and then I get a treat. I like the fact that Gloria is teaching me people
speak. It is good to have a second language! Gloria's boss is very nice. His name is Dexter Howell and he is an Alpha Dog at By Nature Pet Foods. He said that I was very cute and will be a good Demo Dog. He said that everyone will love me. You know something? When I learn enough of this people speak, I am gonna hafta ask Gloria or Mr. Howell what a Demo Dog is!!! Better yet, maybe Gloria needs to learn a second language - and barking sure is fun! |

Today I learned what "stay" means. It is no big deal. You just
don't move. How easy is that? I can't believe that humans think it is a
big deal just to not move. Ok ... I spent most of the day lounging around. Gloria had a lot of work to do - although it looked to me like she was just staying on the desk chair. Only her hands were moving. I can't believe they call that "work!" Anyway, she was all happy because now I have a dogster.com site. Now I want to know two things - what is a Demo Dog and what is a dogster.com? Wow! There certainly are a lot of things to learn! |

Is was nice out today! I played with the Poodles (but not Roo-she is
mean!) and sat on the step and did some sunbathing. Gloria was funny today
because she kept bringing one Poodle in and then brining it out again
about two hours later looking all fluffy and smelling like green apples.
She called it grooming but Simon told me that grooming is another word for
getting all wet and then getting dried under hot air and then being
brushed and brushed until your eyes fall out. I think he was kidding
- at least I hope so because Gloria said that my turn will come and
I like my eyes! I also learned a new human speak word - "beg." It is fun because I get to sit up on my hind end and paw the air with my front feet. Gloria said I am a very clever girl. I don't know about that but I sure do like that liver she is holding over my head! We also did "sit," "down," and "stay" again - sheesh, I ALREADY know those words (and I am STILL waiting on Gloria to tell me what "Demo Dog" is!). Gloria says if the weather is nice tomorrow, we are going to take a walk around the block. She said she would teach me "heel" and I guess that is ok. I asked Simon but he said he didn't know. I think these show Poodles are pretty dumb ... but don't tell Gloria because she likes them a lot, I think! |

Well I found out why Roo has been in such a bad mood! She was having
puppies! They were born on Friday - she was real crabby then! Gloria was
real busy on Friday with Roo and the puppies. She even forgot to turn on
the computer! Saturday, Gloria had her friend Laurie over. Laurie is GREAT! She got down on the floor and played with me! I had so much fun! Then Gloria showed her all the people speak I have been learning ... and I think I surprised her because I even remembered what "Give me Five!" means! She showed me that Friday night but I really didn't feel like doing it then but I remembered it Saturday, anyway. (Gloria is silly. She thinks I don't learn something when I just don't want to do it! I showed her!) Today I found out what squeaky toys are for. I saw Simons and Tuti (she is very nice!) tossing them around so I thought I would give it a try. You know something? It is fun! You can pounce on them and shake them and rip out their stuffing! What a blast! Gloria told me that next weekend we are going to Harrisburg, PA to PawsAbilities. She said it is a benefit even for the Susquehanna Service Dogs. Service Dogs are dogs that help people with disabilities. It is a very important event and Gloria said that I will have to look and act my best. OH NO! I think she means that I will have to be groomed ... I remember what Simon said about that! I hope she doesn't shave my butt like his! Well, I have to go now. Gloria says that it is time for bed. I think I will take this Moose Squeaky toy with me. I like it! |

Wow! There sure has been a lot going on here! Gloria talked to Angie from
the Oklahoma Animal Welfare Association on Monday and guess what? My
company, By Nature Pet Foods, donated 40,000 pounds of dog food and it got
there on Monday! Angie even made a video that everyone can watch! It is at
www.oklahomaawa.com.
It was nice to see the pictures of the place I stayed before I was here
(but don't tell Angie! I like it here a little better here - there is a
couch!). Gloria has been getting ready for the PawsAbilities this weekend. She was putting paper in purple bags. I watched her for a while but, to tell you the truth, it was kinda boring. I played with my Kong instead. (Gloria does the neatest thing with a Kong. She puts peanut butter in it and then freezes it and then gives it to me. I love peanut butter!) Today I saw something I hardly ever saw before. Gloria said it was snow and that I had to go out in it. I have to admit that I don't like snow... but I had to go out anyway because Simon and Tuti were out there and I didn't want them to laugh at me. Oh boy! Is that stuff cold on your behind! |

I know what a Demo Dog is!!!!! This last weekend, I went with Gloria to
PawsAbilities. I got to meet people and get petted and eat treats and say
hello to other dogs and GUESS WHAT???? That is what a demo dog does! Gloria said I was wonderful (and who am I to disagree?). I had so much fun! Gloria always say that she loves her job and, you know something? I am going to love mine, too! I am a Demo Dog! WHooo-Hooooo! |
